Stuart is a proven trouble-shooter with a 30 year track record in turning around technology businesses and IT units internationally. Stuart has achieved this by rejuvenating and repositioning teams, driving service quality and measurably improving sales, costs and margins. He has held chairman, CEO and business leader roles for companies such as HP, PwC and Hitachi. He specialises in deals above £100M, large programmes, acquisitions, and in rescuing troubled units and SI integrations.
Stuart has an MA from Oxford and trained as a nuclear engineer, Following an MBA at London Business School in 1994 he moved to consulting and systems integration. Since then, Stuart has led implementation and operation of systems for governments, financial institutions, tax authorities, armed forces and police. These include the UK’s social security systems paying out £1Bn per night, London 999 systems; battlespace and purchasing systems for the MoD; Royal Navy global networks; and global compliance monitoring systems for the UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency. Stuart has run tax and education systems for the Flemish & Italian Governments; and health information systems for more than 100 hospitals. Stuart is security checked, and has experience in press interviews, public speaking and analyst relations.
